Forum Securities Team
Dan Pine
Dan Pine is a Managing Director and the Head of Forum Securities office in Greenwich. He has day-to-day responsibility for all portfolio decisions across Forum Securities strategies. Mr. Pine has a history of successful real estate securities investing and over 28 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Forum Securities, Mr. Pine was a Managing Director at Citi Property Investors (“CPI”) and the Head of CPI's Global Real Estate Securities team for five years. He built up the global REIT platform at Citi, launched real estate securities funds and raised assets from both institutional and private channels. Mr. Pine previously worked at AllianceBernstein for eight years where he was Senior Vice President of Real Estate Research and Portfolio Management and at Desai Capital Management as Senior Vice President, responsible for the public and private investments in real estate, consumer and health care companies.
Mr. Pine is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he did post-graduate work in evolutionary biology. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Jana Sehnalova
Jana Sehnalova is an Executive Director and Global Portfolio Manager with 13 years of real estate and equities experience. Ms. Sehnalova is currently based in the Forum Securities’ office in London. In the past, Ms. Sehnalova extensively covered European, Australasian and emerging markets real estate companies and spent a significant amount of her time on the ground in the US, Europe and Asia. Before joining Forum Securities, Ms. Sehnalova worked as a portfolio manager and an international analyst in the Global Real Estate Securities team at Citi Property Investors (“CPI”) for five years and prior to that at European Investors Inc for three years.
Ms. Sehnalova holds an LLM in law (summa cum laude), from Charles University's Faculty of Law in Prague, Czech Republic. She also holds an MBA from the University of Economics in Prague, where she participated in an MA exchange program at the University of North Carolina's Kenan Flagler Business School and an LLM exchange program at the University of Hamburg in Germany. Ms. Sehnalova speaks seven languages.
Sam Sahn
Sam Sahn is an Executive Director and Global Portfolio Manager with Forum Securities based in Greenwich. Prior to joining Forum, Mr. Sahn was the Senior Analyst and member of Citi Property Investors’ (“CPI”) Global Real Estate Securities team. Mr. Sahn was responsible for covering companies across the United States, Canada, Brazil and Australia. Prior to joining CPI, Mr. Sahn was a member of the Real Estate Equity Securities team at AllianceBernstein responsible for analyzing companies globally. Mr. Sahn also was a member of the AllianceBernstein Institutional Investment Management group where he was responsible for proposals that generated in excess of $1.25 billion in new funds for AllianceBernstein.
Mr. Sahn holds an MBA in Finance (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Fordham University Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
Claudius Weissbarth
Claudius Weissbarth is a Director with Forum Securities based in London. Prior to joining Forum, Mr. Weissbarth was an associate with Citi Property Investors’ (“CPI”) global real estate securities team. Mr. Weissbarth was based in London covering European, Asian and South American securities. Initially he joined CPI's European real estate private equity team where he focused on originating and executing real estate investments in the German real estate market. Mr. Weissbarth started his career at EquityGate AG, a pan-European corporate finance boutique where he was involved in mergers & acquisitions and capital raising with a focus on real estate transactions across various European countries.
Mr. Weissbarth holds a Diplom-Kaufmann (equivalent to MBA) degree in International Business Administration from the University of Regensburg and a European Master of Business Science (EMBS), a joint Master's degree from the University of Reading and University of Regensburg.
Laura Déniz Marrero
Laura Déniz Marrero is an Associate for Forum Securities' global real estate securities team based in Forum's London office. Ms. Déniz joined the real estate sector in 2008 and is responsible for financial modeling and analysis of European and Latin American real estate companies. Ms. Déniz joined Forum Securities from Citigroup Property Investors (“CPI”) where she covered European real estate securities. Prior to that, Ms. Déniz worked as a corporate account manager at Banesto, where she managed a portfolio of mid-sized corporate clients with responsibility for sales, negotiations and financial analysis.
Ms. Déniz holds an MBA from IESE Business School and a BA from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE).
Christina Yeh
Christina Yeh is an Associate at Forum Securities’ office in Greenwich, responsible for covering companies in the U.S. and Asia. Before joining Forum, Ms. Yeh was a project manager at UBS Wealth Management focusing on strategy and business development for the Asia Pacific region. Prior to UBS, Ms. Yeh was a Business Analyst at McKinsey in the Singapore office.
Ms. Yeh holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics with Honors from the University of Chicago.
Darren Xu
Darren Xu is an Analyst at Forum Securities’ office in Greenwich. Previously, Mr. Xu was a structured finance associate in the Financial Investments, Structured Products and Real Estate Group at Pricewaterhousecoopers, LLP. He was responsible for modeling various MBS transactions, analyzing collateral for private RMBS deals and various due diligence tasks. Prior to this, he worked as an investment management research intern at Global Arena Investment Management, LLC. Mr. Xu holds a BBA from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business and is a CFA level III candidate.
Terry Coghlan
Terry Coghlan is a Trader in Forum Securities' Greenwich office. Prior to joining Forum, Mr. Coghlan traded equities and derivatives, primarily in Asian and U.S. markets, for a global, real estate-focused hedge fund. In addition to trading, Mr. Coghlan provided analytical and operational support.
Mr. Coghlan holds a BS in Finance and an MS in Accounting from the University of Colorado. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Valentina Martina
Valentina Martina is a Trader in Forum Securities' Greenwich office. Prior to joining Forum Securities, Ms. Martina worked as a junior trader for CPI. Prior to joining CPI, Ms. Martina worked in the Client Support department of UBS where she was responsible for global portfolio trading support, U.S. DTC settlements, international settlements, and international confirmations. She implemented the U.S. affirmation process at UBS and provided direct support for desks in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Previously, Ms. Martina assisted the Operations Team at Abbey National, a whole-sale U.K. broker/dealer, in compliance and human resources.
Ms. Martina holds a BA (cum laude) from the University of Connecticut.
Felicia Tolbert
Felicia Tolbert is a Vice President in Forum’s office in Greenwich. Prior to joining Forum Securities, Ms. Tolbert worked at CPI in the back office support function. She also worked as a Senior Operations Associate with Saranac Capital Management LP, Portfolio Assistant in the Fixed Income department of Alliance Capital Management LP and as a Fund Accountant for the Bank of New York’s mutual funds department.
Ms. Tolbert holds a BS in Accounting from Syracuse University.
Anthony Iessi
Anthony Iessi is a Director of Fund Accounting in Forum's office in Greenwich. Mr. Iessi is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting for all of Forum's partnerships. Prior to joining Forum, he was Vice President of Finance for Invesco Private Capital where he was responsible for production of financial statements, audits and tax returns and various investor communications. Prior to that he was Treasurer, Vice President and Controller for Poseidon Resources Corporation. Mr. Iessi received his MBA in Finance from Fordham University and his BBA in Accounting from Iona College.
Michael O'Shea
Michael O'Shea is a Fund Accountant in Forum's office in Greenwich. Prior to joining Forum, Mr. O'Shea worked at Condon, O'Meara, McGinty & Donnelly LLP, where he was a staff accountant. Previously, Michael was a senior associate at Grant Thornton LLP and McGladrey & Pullen LLP, where he performed financial statement audits for various financial service clients. He also worked as a fund analyst at Fortress Investment Group. Michael graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Accounting & Finance and Insurance.
Steven Gustafson
Steven Gustafson is responsible for coordinating tax issues as they relate to Forum, all funds, partnerships and individual investments. Mr. Gustafson spent nine years as Tax manager with Deloitte & Touche. He more recently worked as Tax Manager for several other firms including DDK & Company and Weiser LLP. Mr. Gustafson received his LL.M. in taxation from New York University. He received his JD, MBA and BA from the University of Washington. Mr. Gustafson is fluent in Swedish and conversational in French, German and Russian.
Mark W. Pearson
Mark W. Pearson is a member of the Board of Directors of Forum Securities Ltd. and Managing Director and General Counsel in Forum's office in London. Mr. Pearson has enjoyed a 20-year career in law with an emphasis on M&A, equity and debt financings, restructurings, joint ventures and securities law matters. Mr. Pearson was Of Counsel with Morrison & Foerster, based in Tokyo, Japan. At Morrison & Foerster, he worked on multi-national financings, joint ventures and M&A throughout East Asia. As a Vice President with Security Capital Group, Mr. Pearson managed general corporate matters and finance, joint venture and acquisition transactions for Security Capital and its affiliates. At Mayer, Brown & Platt and Reid & Priest, his work included financings, securities law matters and securities offerings for international companies. Mr. Pearson received his AB (with honors) from Stanford University and his JD from the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review.
Malcolm Glyn
Malcolm Glyn is a member of the Board of Directors of Forum Securities Ltd. and Chief Financial Officer in Forum’s office in London. Mr. Glyn has enjoyed a 28-year career in finance, during which he has had a number of CFO roles in various firms. As a Chief Financial Officer of Butterfield Fulcrum Group, he was responsible for managing and establishing many functions within the company to support its growing business. As a Chief Financial Officer of Celerant Consulting, he was responsible for the leadership and development of the finance, legal, tax and treasury functions. Prior to this, he worked in finance divisions at WPP, Avis Europe and Arthur Andersen. Mr. Glyn received his BA from Sheffield University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Niall P. Conlon
Niall P. Conlon is an Associate Legal Counsel based in Forum's office in London. Mr. Conlon is admitted as a solicitor in England in Wales. Previously Mr. Conlon worked for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, based in Tokyo, where he worked on a variety of corporate and finance transactions. Mr. Conlon holds a BA(hons) from Manchester University, an MA from University College London, a postgraduate diploma in law (with commendation) from City University and he completed his vocational legal training at the Inns of Court School of Law.
Kimberly Owens
Kimberly Owens is a Document Administrator in Forum's office in Greenwich. Prior to joining Forum, Ms. Owens served in lead administrative roles in the educational, financial services, and human capital sectors such as Korn Ferry International and HHMI. She holds a BA in management from Albertus Magnus College and an MA in management & organizations from the University of New Haven.
Gena Cheng
Gena Cheng is an Executive Director of Marketing and Investor Relations in Forum's office in Greenwich. Ms. Cheng is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing and investor relations at Forum. She has enjoyed a 17-year career in the financial services industry. Previously, she was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of JT Partners, a third party placement agent focused on real estate private equity funds that she helped create. Prior to JT Partners, Ms. Cheng was a Portfolio Manager of ABP Investments US (now APG Asset Management) where she sourced, structured, executed and managed a $3 billion portfolio of real estate investments in the Americas. Prior to this, Ms. Cheng was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. Previously, Ms. Cheng was a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen real estate advisory services. Ms. Cheng received her BA from Princeton University and her JD/MBA from New York University.
